DOST Scholarships (Graduate Programs)

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Regional Alliance of Universities for National Development (STRAND)

 

 

The project addresses the need to expand the delivering higher education institutions for the DOST-SEI graduate scholarships in STEM courses including science and mathematics education.

 

It also aims to provide the S&T professionals in the regions opportunities and access to advanced degree studies in universities with approximately the high quality of education.

 

This is one strategy in addressing the call of the administration to reach out and support the higher education institutions in the provinces that need to be strengthened in terms of developing human resource capabilities in order to offer quality STEM courses.

ELIGIBILITY

 

 

An Applicants must

  • Be a Filipino citizen;

  • Be not more than 50 years old at the time of application;

  • Be in good health and of good moral character;

  • Must pass the admission requirements for graduate studies in any of the STRAND 2 universities

  • be in good health condition and of good moral character;

  • not have any criminal/administrative case

  • pass the interview and other screening procedures

Valid NBI Clearance

Letter/s of Endorsement: (Recommendation Form)

  • Master's - from two (2) former college professors
  • Doctoral - from two (2) former professors in the Master's Program

If employed: 

  • Recommendation from employer or head of agency
  • Form 2A - Certificate of Employment and Permit to Study
  • Form 2B - Certificate of DepEd Employment and Permit to Student (for DepEd employees only)

Form A - Career Plans (Narrative):

 

Please provide a narrative (maximum of 1-2 pages) describing your short-term and long-term career goals. Explain how pursuing graduate studies under this scholarship will help you achieve these goals. You may include your plans for professional advancement, leadership development, and how you intend to contribute to your field and national development.

Form B - Research Plans

 

Write a narrative (maximum of 1-2 pages) outlining your proposed research topic or area of interest. Describe the background or context of the study, research objectives or questions, significance of the research, and potential applications or expected outcomes. Indicate how this research aligns with your career goals and the priorities of the scholarship program.

Form C - Certification of Health Status (Medical Certificate)

 

A certified statement confirming that the applicant is in good health and physically fit to undertake graduate studies, as required for the scholarship application.
